All artists interested in participating simply fill out the signup form below …BEFORE YOU EVEN START MAKING YOUR ART! It only takes a few minutes and will secure your spot in the show.
To participate please follow these steps: (IN ORDER) It’s that easy!
- Fill out the form below to confirm your interest in participation! (Before you create any artwork!) This lets us know you will be participating in the show even if you still have art to create! Do this as soon as possible!
- Start Creating artwork!
- Keep an eye out for follow-up emails from the Spectra Staff.
- ANYONE can submit, whether you are local to Denver, out of state, just starting your art endeavors, or a professional artist. You just have to fill out the form & follow the rules & you are in!
Important Details:
- The deadline to sign up via the form above is August 24th.
- All Submitted Work Must be made on or with Vinyl Records. We will also accept Tapes, and Cd’s.**
- The Opening Reception Will be held on September 14th at Spectra Art Space.
- All art must be delivered (Shipped or Dropped Off) between September 5th – September 10th. (Exact times will be sent out closer to Aug. 24th.)

- We are not the discriminating type so if you enter YOU WILL GET IN. As long as you fill out this form before the deadline mentioned above and follow the rules!
** We will allow items such as jewelry/small sculptural things created from these elements but art ON RECORDS IE paintings, collages, ect. will be what covers our “main wall” and is what we are looking for more than anything else! (See photo below from past shows) However, we do not want to stifle your creativity, so as long art is made with or on these elements you will be accepted!
Tips for artists:
- You can find records, cd’s, and tapes at most thrift stores! This is a great place to source these items!
- We highly recommend either gessoing (priming your records) before you paint on them or Varnishing / clear-coating them after you paint on them….. OR even better BOTH! Especially if you are using acrylic.
