Art for Stress Relief: Drawing Edition: In this class students will create a series of themed, timed, mixed media drawings inside of a custom-made booklet. Kaitlyn, of Exist Vibrantly Art, will discuss how the process of creating can help improve the overall quality of life & elevate mood through empowering the individual to increase self-awareness and expression! Each student will go home with their own finished product in the form of an illustrated booklet as well as an increased awareness of how creating art affects them individually!

What’s Provided:

Handmade sketch booklets (1 per student), markers, sharpies, colored pencils, graphite, charcoal, cardstock, refreshments & guided instruction!

Techniques Learned/Discussed:

Objective & nonobjective drawing. Learning to not being judgemental of yourself within art. Holistically promoting individual introspection. Creative process as a visual representation of intentionality. CBT-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & theories on how colors have the potential to affect our moods
